These KYY solar string lights have been a pleasant surprise for us. Even in heavy rain, they continue to light up and hold their charge for about 4-5 hours. On a full sunny day, they can last the entire night and still be on in the morning, giving us at least 6 hours of illumination. The only downside is that they are not very bright, especially when placed in open dark areas. We recommend using multiple strands to light up larger spaces. However, considering the long strand length and solar-powered feature, these lights are quite affordable.

Right from the moment you open the box, these lights make a great impression. The USB port is a clever addition, allowing you to charge up the batteries before first use. In fact, I haven’t seen solar lights with this feature before. I’m even considering using my RGB LED power supply to power these lights, thanks to their battery pack. The build quality of the light string, sockets, and bulbs seems durable, and I’m curious to see how they hold up against the summer sun. We took extra precautions and purchased a protection plan just to be on the safe side.
